Job Purpose The post-holder will contribute to the multidisciplinary assessment of the needs of clients with mental health problems by working with individual clients, their family and carers, and various client groups in a therapeutic setting to aid and maintain recovery. Key Accountabilities/Primary Responsibilities The successful candidate will be part of the task force assisting in the setup, organization and operation of clinical services.  Key Duties Task Force Duties • To assist in the development of the model of care. • To assist in the development of clinical infrastructure.  • To assist in the development an operational model.  Clinical Duties • To provide high quality care to patients experiencing acute mental distress or who have an enduring mental illness. • To consult closely with the multidisciplinary team to establish and produce patient care and treatment plans including         risk assessment. • To ensure the correct administration of medications, including injections, and monitor the results of treatment. • To treat medical emergencies. • To be able to flexibly manage a varied caseload of both inpatients and outpatients. • To work as part of a team to ensure effective communication and delivery of care. Educational Duties • To participate and lead in nursing in-service development. • To assist in the teaching of other multidisciplinary team members, clinical and non-clinical staff, and others to promote         knowledge of nursing management to enhance patient care.
